We are devoted to the belief that active wear must be highly functional as well as attractive.  For over eighteen years we have been supplying major ski resorts with official uniforms.  Our clothing protects their employees from whatever the elements may bring during their long days at the lifts or on patrol.

We deliver the right combination of high-performance fabrics with designs incorporating creative solutions to keep people comfortable and protected.  Add to that good looks, and it is little wonder our clothing has attracted a wide and varied following.

Encouraged by many dedicated owners of our corporate wear who wanted our clothing for recreation, we started offering Col d'Lizard to the public thirteen years ago.

We have expanded our range of active wear to include products for sports as diverse as mountain and road cycling, alpine and nordic skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, running and of course hiking and backpacking.  We even have a dedicated following among that rugged and brave urban breed - the bike commuter and bicycle couriers.

We started the company in the high mountains of Colorado and in 2004 moved the business to Vermont.  We know the difference between suffering through a fast moving storm and meeting it with preparation and enjoyment.  Our clothing is field-proven by the countless people who rely on Col d'Lizard to bring them home warm and comfortable from their adventures.  From as far away as Antarctica, a common theme is echoed - Col d'Lizard performs!

All of our manufacting is kept right here in Vermont to ensure the standards of quality that we demand and active users require.  As well as 90% of our raw goods for the garments are produced in the USA.   Naturally, we stand behind all of our products.

Informed by the needs of the outdoor enthusiast, and driven by our passion for nature, Col d'Lizard delivers products that perform, are durable and are designed for the long haul.

With all this said, I have decided to start taking some time for myself.  Col d'Lizard will be open for orders on a part time basis.  I am going to start traveling for personal pleasure and spend some time with my children and soon grandbabies.  When I am in Vermont I will have the site open for orders.  It will be posted with times when orders will be shipped if I am away.  I will try hard to be available during the "season rush".  I have a deep appreciate for all the loyal customers over the many many years of business.  Thank you for your trust and belief in me and the company.  It has been FUN!!  Now off to Colorado for all the hiking, biking and skiing it has to offer.  To Nantucket to swim and boat and just sit on the beach...and beyond to where ever my feet shall roam!
